Tan Renga Challenge #26

11 Jan

In response to Carpe Diem’s Tan Renga Challenge #26, Nicole’s “summer evening”

The goal is to write a second stanza of two-lines (following 7_7 syllables) towards the given haiku written by Nicole the Local Artist of Setting fire to the landscape:

summer evening
a breeze turns leaves over
abandoned book

Here is my try:

summer evening
a breeze turns leaves over
abandoned book

by the window an old man
asleep on a rocking chair

If I didn’t have a book available, I think I’d fall asleep too. Oh, wait! I fall asleep while reading! 😉
