In response to Ligo Haibun Challenge – Images

Someone said that the purpose of a snow isn’t to cover a hill but to discover traces of every beast.
Very wise, you must agree.
Useful, too.

And then, a new Sun melts it and a new day wipes all prints of feet that have passed our paths.
Everything disappears till some next winter, some new snow and some new beasts.

But, you know…
There are some hearts, sentenced by a curse or whatever it is, which remain frozen forever.
Footprints engraved in them never can be erased.

Surely some of your best writing there. I really found this so deep and clever. Am genuinely happy you take time time to write at Ligo haibun.

Well I think the interaction between prose and haiku ‘ they melt into each other – was wonderful. The lead into that last paragraph of the prose, just before the haiku, was very strong – that last paragraph…how true, how true.
