Traveler #3

03 Feb

Days In The Blackberries Field

guarded for too long
for those who can not see it
an internal light
a bird in a cage
even if it is roomy
never learns to fly
a long distance calls
traveling trough the inside
the skin is too tight
shoes are nailed to floor
but fingers untie laces
and attach the wings
the sky is inside
a million stars every night
illuminate path

Shoes untied is my favorite. Gives me the chills in a good way.

🙂 Thanks for reading and commenting. I also liked it the most while I was writing.

I agree with Maggie…untying nailed down shoes and attaching wings is a great way to escape

I’m glad you found something to yourself. We are all different, but yet so similar. Thank you.
