About The Rain

Days In The Blackberries Field

time of severe drought
thirsty ground longing for rain
each drop is priceless
roses without thorns
raindrops wet down the petals
bouquet in his hand
after the downpour
raindrops slide down the window
leaving the traces
useless umbrella
hanging on its broken wire
looks miserable
raindrops on her cheeks
skillfully disguise the tears
no one noticing
happy gutters sing
making the right atmosphere
new haiku revives
today’s rain enters
through the skin into the bones
~ a deadly coldness
