Solitary maybe, but a lonely leaf…..not sure leaves get lonely. Saying it is is telling the reader instead of showing. Apart from that nice haiku..

I know, you’re right. I wanted to write only “a leaf” but it was too short when I read it. Another version was “a single leaf” but I put “lonely” and don’t know why 🙂

I think a single leaf is very nice and possibly stronger than lonely. In fact more I think about it the more powerful it is. Interesting.
